Sometimes I wonder why haven’t Corvettes got the Fiero treatment. Drivetrain makes for a great kit car base.

Like a lot of people, I thought from the beginning that the C7 looks alike like a Ferrari (not a copy of the F12, just that it looks Ferrari-ish in design). I read a bunch about how every vent and crease on the C7 was engineered for a purpose, and I hope the look is mostly just a case of convergent evolution. It would be just sad if the designers were trying to emulate a Ferrari. In my opinion, the Corvette holds its own against anything you put next to it for history and pedigree, and now performance. It doesn’t need to apologize to, nor look up at, anyone.

Although, I do have to say... the Ferrari wins, by a little.
The vent at the bottom of the front fender is more graceful, and the A-pillar non-floating roof is better. Still too many vents and gills and such, and it isn’t as pure as 550 Maranello once was.
The C7 Generation Corvette is trying to be too much like a 2WD 2-seat Nissan GT-R. The C7 to GT-R styling cues are closer than the Ferrari, despite the mechanical and architectural differences (2+2 layout, AWD, bigger and bulkier)

I think that’ s why I dont like the C7. It’s in the uncanny valley between a corvette and a ferrari. Like when a video game doesnt get the copyrights and makes a generic Front engined sports car.
